Lymphoedema Therapy
Lymphoedema is the accumulation of excessive amounts of protein-rich fluid resulting in swelling of one or more regions of the body. Lympoedema may arise because the lymphatic vessels or nodes have been damaged or were not correctly formed.
An accurate diagnosis by a qualified lymphoedema therapist is essential for appropriate therapy and treatment may include components of CLT (complex lymphoedema therapy) consisting of: Education, Skin Care, Exercise, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Compression Therapy. Treatment is individualised for each client and not all components of treatment may be necessary in all cases.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle whole body treatment that relaxes the nervous system, aids the body’s immune system and helps the body’s detoxification process. It is highly recommended for those prone to and recovering from sore throats, colds, infections, on-going tiredness, excess fluids, low immunity, swollen node and also for the physically inactive. Pure essential oils are added for extra benefit.
Oncology Massage
Oncology Massage is highly specialized form of gently massage that is modified for people with a history or diagnosis of cancer. The treatment is mindful of any contraindications for massage and liaison with other treating health professionals can take place to ensure the provision of safe and effective treatment for the client. Home or hospital visits can be arranged in consultation with the massage therapist if required.
Myofascial Therapy
Myofascial Therapy is a safe, low load stretch technique that releases tightness and pain throughout the body. The treatment, beyond a normal massage, offers successful results for restrictive, long term aches and pains in any body type.
Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy massage is a therapeutic remedial & soothing treatment aimed specially at easing a lot of the discomfort that pregnancy can bring, such as sciatica, leg cramps, and back and shoulder pain. Regular massage can reduce peripheral swelling, help to prevent insomnia, reduce muscle cramps and back pain, and soothe the nervous system. A full body massage to help alleviate the aches from carrying your baby.

Our massage charges are pro rata of $145.00 per hour. Our CLT Lymphoedmea charges are $185.00 per hour.

It is our policy to call or SMS the day before your appointment. If you cannot attend your appointment and give less than adequate notice a 50% cancellation fee will be charged at your next consultation.
